All parents are advised to read the Torfaen Parents / Carers Information Booklet which provides details and advice on how applications are processed and the deadlines which must be adhered to.
Parents who are refused a place at their preferred school will have the right to an Independent Appeal and details of this process will be made available if necessary.
Any applications that are received after the closing date may increase the possibility of not achieving a placement at your preferred school.
Allegations of fraudulent claims will be investigated and places may be withdrawn if parents have knowingly provided false information in order to obtain the advantage of a particular school, to which they may not normally be entitled.
Communications with the Local Authority (including online transactions) may be subject to monitoring and recording only for purposes permitted by the Telecommunications (Lawful Business Practice) (Interception of Communications) Regulations 2000 in order to prevent or detect a crime, or investigate or detect the unauthorised use of the service.
